Have decided that I am a Quitter. I am from this point forward making effect towards quitting smoking. Am not fooling myself. Know that I can not just say i quit and that's it. That will not work. I am going to however make a plan. Am currently keeping notes on my smoking habits as well as reducing my intact. The goal is to quit or be very close to quitting at the very lest by the end of this month.
Lets see how I go with this... will keep you informed...
The itching enquiring
A bit of an enquiry forks. How strong is your will power? When you get an itch, how long can you go after the discovery before you have to scratch it?
Issue 2
Going to have a bit of a chat about smoking, I feel I should inform you which side of the fence I fall on this matter. I'm a smoker. Now you know.
I'm going to start with enjoying a cigarette on a chilly day. A day when you are standing outside and you breathe in and you can feel the chilled air fill your lungs. With the exhale your breath is warm, making it visible. Followed by the opposing sensation of inhaling on your ciggie. We will by pass the taste description and stick to sensations. The warm smoke fills your mouth, moving down your throat into your lungs. You clear your lungs, breathing out once more. I discovered today that I sort of enjoy this experience. Well there is no sort of, either I enjoyed it or I disliked it. So we'll run with enjoyed it, because it wasn't an unpleasant feeling.
Not to mention being a smoker these days somewhat makes me an outcast. I went to this one event. Was an out door event so figured as long as you bin your butt and be considerate of the people around you. But not the case, this event they had fenced off an area for smokers. The area was at most 2 meters by 2 meters, no food or drinks allowed in the smoking area. There were times through out the day when smokers where packed tightly into this fenced off area. Like cattle. I even sure people (non smokers) with their cameras out taking photos like we're freaks. And now as all the smokers out there know, you can not smoke in pubs and clubs. WTF. Smoking and drinking go so well together. Like coffee and cigarettes, but you can not drink that coffee in the shop or even in front of the shops these days. Around here, Australia, you can get fined $150 for dropping your ciggie butt on the ground. I do, myself, try not to drop my junk on the ground. Bin it where I can. Still there are times when I don't. And honestly on occasion I do drop my butt, ok it will be around for a while I get that. Then why isn't there a biodegradable butts? And ok, am not for littering, I am for enforcing anti littering laws equally. That tool who just dropped that chip packet, or the miss who tucked the gum wrapper behind her at the bus stop then got up leaving the wrapper behind, and I flicking my ciggie should be treated and pursued equally. Don't hunt down and punish one group above another.
