The world isn’t exactly improved greatly since the 60/70’s. I mean it is just as shit now as it was then. We still have wars, racism, inequalities. Where is the outrage? Where are the protesters, the people speaking out? Where s the public out cry. With the Vietnam war, race equality, they.. People of that time were passionate, outraged.
I do not get it. Where is the activism? What happen to what appeared to be such a strong movement? All that energy, the caring, the concern, the passion. Now more than ever every man woman and child is able to speak out and put their voices thoughts feeling outrage out there. That is one of the good things about the internet.
Disappointed in my species, my generation, the world. Giving up ones freedoms for security is madness. Giving it up for a sense of security is worse.. And the sense of security is really all those who are offering can truly deliver. There is no real security in what they offer, and many people know this yet everyone plays along. Giving up one liberty after another, and before we know it we will be monkeys in a cage. Let out only to turn our designated cog, or press our designated button to keep the world turning.
It would be nice, it is a nice thought anyway to think that there are enough outraged people that maybe… maybe the voice of the public, the people can be heard. I do not believe that shouting and screaming is the method, like it was in the revolutions of the 60’s and 70’s. These days screams and often ignored. Whispers on the other hand seem to always draw attention. Spread the whispers, share the knowledge. Everyone has the right to know, Everyone has the right to choice Everyone has the right to freedom. Freedom they choose not one that is thrust apon them. Here is hoping that one whisper blends with the next, and the next… before long the voice of the outraged will echo in the wind for all to hear.
When all the sheep are dying their fleece the sheep whose fleece is white is the freak.
I think disillusioned would be the best way to describe how I feel. Disillusioned and disappointed. I do not, am not claiming that I am perfect. Far from it. I am human. And I embrace my humanness. Yet like so many in the world I get distracted entrapped in distractions that keep us from being outraged and being passionate about those things that do matter. Like freedom. Yours, mines, theirs. Those ever tempting ever feeble mindless disstraction that are thrust apon us and keep us from asking why from being passionate being outraged. I mean you see flares of passion sparks of outrage. Glimmers of what is best known as hope.
Really wish I know what to say, what to do. I feel all I can do is speak, write. Voice MY outrage MY passion. For these things have been known to spread like wild fire. If there is spark is bright enough. There is definitely enough friction in the world to cause a few sparks. Life just needs to be breathed in to the fire. So much outrages me that I have trouble knowing where to being. Its not one thing that is wrong, it is everything. Its hypocrisy, ignorance stupidity it’s the window gloss. A pretty frame to distract from a no so great picture. The illusion of effect. Example putting laws, new laws in place. That sound good and in good in theory and in implemented in practice is all well and should be done. But if you are unable to enforce the laws you already have; placing more laws on the ever growing list of laws because they sound good and make the people feel better is pointless. And enforcing them on a haphazard basis does little to affirm law and order. People get away with things… talking on cell phone while driving, riding a bike with no helmet, more often then they are punished. Then they go add more, again sounding great and giving the illusion that something is being done. It will only cause outrage and contempt in those very few are caught and punished. Even the punishment is not really a deterrent. A fine, an annoyance, upsetting revenue raising fine. But the person is likely do it again. Human tend to do things they have success with. So if I have succeeded at riding my bike a hundred times without my helmet and go away with and get caught once. I am likely not to bother buying a helmet if I do not own one and not going to put it on if I do. Such posturing laws with are regularly made and rarely enforced is something that continues to be a source of outrage.
You see something taking place before you. To you whatever the act is it seems wrong. Yet you are asked to be part of it. Do you join?
That is somewhat how I feel about the world in which I currently live. To me, it seems fundamentally flawed. There are numerous things to me which seem glaringly incorrect. Yet I am being told to join in.
If it is wrong, or even if I feel it is wrong, then isn't it still more wrong to be aiding/participating in it?
I feel bad enough for "All it takes for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing"
But they are not asking me to do nothing. They are asking me to be a part of something I feel is flawed.
Why doesn’t our country print its own money?
Why is the money purchased with interest from a financial institution by our country?
What country other than an America has military base in other country ?
Opinion
There are a handful of reason why a country would have a military presence in another.
(a) They are training together for future alliances
(b) They are assisting in time of war/conflict
(c) They are the occupying force, they have taken the country and the military presence is to show their dominance
Have I missed something?

The American military has been and continues to do archeologically surveys in Iraq. Why? Why the military?

I just finished watching the movie Postal. What to say really. It was frickin amazing. I have not watch a movie and loved to so instantly in a while. It had everything. It was what it was meant to be. I thought the guy who played postal dude did well. To be honest, to begin with I was not sure he was going to great (same for the movie) but that quickly changed. I thought it was funny, thoughtful in part, entertaining, not full of itself. Most Excellent two thumbs up screw that three thumbs

Have had issues with centrelink before, and take the odd occurance as just that.. Something that happens. However since I seem to be continuously running into problems when dealing with centrelink I have decided to start keeping a record of my experience.
Why am I not just writing individual complaints? Because I have done that in the past and receive nothing more than a template response saying that it should be not so, and that it will be looked into. Frankly that’s not good enough. Centrelink is a “federal” department, they should have their stuff together. And if they don’t have their stuff together which seems to me to be the case, then myself and other customers/clients stakeholders should not be penalised because of the departments inadequacies’
So it occured to be blog it.. vent a little.. not like anyone reads my blog anyway.. and all information submitted is correct. Well as i have seen and experienced it anyway. Hope someone reads it .. that'd be nice.

Went to hand in fortnightly form @ Clink office in Fortitude Valley.
Where I was handing in my forms while I was working. This was the 5th occasion that I handed in a form while employed.
YET was the first time I was informed that I was required to hand in pay advice statements.
Why was I not informed of this early? If this is the policy (which I have been informed it is) should they not have told me the first time a wage of any amount appeared on my form?
I returned and supplied copies of all five (5) pay advices.
These had Rec and Sick time as well as my employee number blanked out. They were accepted and nothing further was mentioned
Further Note: While standing in the queue (in which I spent more than 15minuets) to supply copies of my pay advices, people were walking straight up to the counter or just standing beside the queue, these people were getting served while those of us in the queue continued to wait.

Handing in fortnightly form again. With pay advice. Pay advice statement was in same condition as pervious ones. Blanked out Rec and Sick time and Employee number.
This time was informed that this was not acceptable. Why was this not the case with the previous 5?
Manager of Browns Plains office where was handing in this form. Told me that it is correct that all service centres of the department should have the same information to provide their clients yet was unable to say why I had not been informed earlier.
I strongly believe that ALL staff should be trained… as to prevent information leaking through in dribs and drabs. Or maybe that is just how the department likes it. Keeping its clients in the dark and guessing. That why they will never know what hoop they have to jump through next.
Funny because I thought it was the goal of government departments to assist and provide for their clients. Or is it just I have a perfect world view of how and what government departments are there for.
Government’s for the people. Government departments serve the people.
Oh spite the fact that Clink is not currently paying me, because I was recently employed, 2 staff members today tried holding my payment over me in an attempt to get me to yield and do what they were asking with out further issue. I feel that that is inappropriate as I know people who have blinded jumped through hoops for clink that were not necessary but these people did so because their payment was threatened. These are people with children and alike, who can not afford to risk not getting paid. Centrelink assist me, that is very true, but I am not depentent on them. They screw, as they have in the past, I know I can survive at least up to six months without their support. I just feel for those who and being lead blindly because they “need” the money.
Further Note: Was told while form was being processed that they( the department) where contacting my former employer QDOT to obtain my separation certificate. So I should not be asked to provide one next time. We’ll see…

You lot know about this. I only recently discovered it myself. Back in my day, you had soft candy, hard candy, chewy candy, sour candy but spray candy now have we gone too far...?
It is pretty much liquid candy for those who don't know it... and comes in a spray bottle for you to squirt it directly into your mouth, onto your tongue. Was there a need for this i was unaware of??

Lets you and I have a little chat about animals. Why not? I will start small and work up I think. Insects, well some of them seem to be asexual in times of plentiful food supply scientist have recently concluded. The insects are cloning themselves, because they are not having to continually evolve to adapt to their environment, we've made it so easy for them. Sex is a great to shuffle genes but if what you have got is working for you why mess with it. I have thought some on that… the conditions being good so insects cloning, and it reminded me of something I read about the decline of man in humanity and us heading to possible asexual reproduction in the future, a way off mind you. Maybe that is why males were more comman in times when as a species we were having to fight to survive. We are the shuffles of the deck. Now the conditions, through our achievements, are far better and maybe the genes don't need to be shuffled as often.
Then there was this Cane Toad that ate a snake, I just skimmed over that so pretty much all I have for that one.
Now for the Tasmanian Devil. We call know that their numbers are dropping right? Well they are! Scientist have noticed lately an increased number in teenage Tassie Devils engaging in sexual relations. The are assuming they are doing so because the species is endangered, to help themselves… but maybe they are just teenagers who have discovered the joy of sex…..
Little bit of a sad one, through did make me chuckle slightly when I read it. A dolphin was recently killed when it collided with another dolphin when they jumped out of the water at a theme park The second dolphin is fine btw. I would think if something like that was going to happen would be in practice not the show for the public.
And finally … last but no means least as they say. Leopard takes down Croc!!!
Oh my yes indeed. Doesn't happen everyday, in fact this is the first record event of its type. A guy who was photographing hippos when a blur shot past into the water, next thing he notices the leopard pulling the crocodile from the water. The tussle continued… don't recall it mentioning the out come but am assuming, and I know I shouldn't, that the leopard came out on top. Otherwise its more a leopard attempt to take down croc.
Oh yes it is a sport. I understand it was first seen in a comic but has made it way into the world we live. Okay am not sure of all the details, yet I'll share what I know.
You get yourself a boxing ring, a table couple of chairs and a chess board. Then setting up the chess board in the middle of the ring you and your opponent then play chess, for 4 minuets, the table is removed and you box for 3 minutes. The table is brought back and you do it all over again. Understand that in all you do this for six rounds. So I am thinking, including the ring girl with the sign, they are still part of boxing right?, a match would go for around an hour. The world championship for this sport was recently held and we have a champ. I could not tell you how, I got stuck on the whole chess boxing thing.

Okay was surfing around the internet, as one does these days. When I came across a news article relating to knitting. The reason knitting made the news is that their is this woman Rachael Mattews, who from what i have gathered has written several books on the topic. Her recent one is said to contain knitting patterns for knitted dictators. I personally think it is cool. I mean there is a knitted hilter. which she is call Knitler, how cute is that.

I want to know what the one with the dictators is called...and where i could get it would be dandy too. So if anyone can assist with this.. kind of amusing asking people for assistance when no one reads me I am sure. Anyway let me know if you do.
